1. I seem to have developed a healthy work ethic today. Not sure where this has come from. I think I must be a confidence programmer, like your get confidence footballers. If I come in and make a good start it inspires me to code all day.
2. Apparently surfs up again soon. I'm fancying a change of location, maybe Croyd or Saunton Sands. Aubrey Strawberry Sausage wants to come which is amazing because neither myself or Stimmer can remember the last time he did some exercise. There was the time he was running down Cotham Hill away from a group of people trying to beat him up and that group of people was us. Stimmer pointed out that curling up like a ball on the pavement was technically exercise.
3. Since I need to replace my frazzled PC I'm wondering what to get and where to get it from. Obviously I'm not going to do anything a stupid as getting one at PCTurd, so I'm wondering whether it's good value to either get one on QXL or from our local PC shop where I could get one built. The insurance paid out 440 squid for the box and I suppose it's possible to get a laptop and a box on QXL, auction permitting. Oh I don't know it's like choosing a holiday on teletext.
4. I was so far off the Myers-Briggs tests when I worked for the Man that even the person setting the test said "Why and how do they let you work here?" My fate was sealed early when she had us line up in a car park as a physical comparison of each other. I ended up in the next car park. They had to phone me to let me know they'd finished.
5. I have rubbish hair at the moment. I'm growing it but I have no idea into what style, shaggy dog more than likely. I'm coming to the conclusion that my "shave it, grow it, shave it, grow it" approach to hairdressing is a bit too agricultural. I better get it cut if I'm gonna crack America.
6. I have discovered BBC Radio 6, well a few nice parts of it. Shamelessly succumbing to the TV adverts starring Phill Jupitus I tuned in on the Interweb and was more than pleasantly surprised. Whilst many of you will be music fans and some more of you will be music nuts, it occurred to me last night that the British don't like music at all really. It causes squelchy feelings and makes people want to lose control which freaks us out entirely (unless you're at a wedding). Our best exports are based on simple music, the Beatles to name one example and I just don't think we deal with complex music that well. Goto to any local salsa class for living proof of this.
7. A living legend, Sid Waddell
8. Apparently sunflower seeds are excellent in shepherd's pie. WLYK.
9. I can't think of any better job than a radio DJ who works at home. How do you start a radio station? I'll find out. I can see it now...Wye Valley FM. I could tell the local community where the freshest eggs are to had each morning and where the coolest coffee mornings are. I'm thinking The Archers meets Radio 1. Gap in the market, make a killing.
10. Will the last soldier left in the country reboot the server please?
